Once the basic parameters such as crystal size and crystal shape have been established the next step in validating whether the melt crystallisation and technology is suitable for your separation process will be a trial program on the SoliQz multi purpose pilot facility. Since June 2016 SoliQz operates its state-of-art facility at PlantOne in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. At this site we can carry out pilot-scale tests for a very broad range of chemicals. These trials will typically last 2-3 weeks and will provide a very good insight in the purity level and yield that can be achieved with the technology. You will also get between 5-75 kg/hr of highly purified product (depending on viscosity and other product parameters).
For the pilot scale test we require approx. 150-200 liters of your material. To cover the costs of resources and equipment a charge will be asked for the execution of the trials.
The pilot scale trials will also give provide the scale-up parameters required for the design and construction of a commercial-scale installation. At this stage we can also provide a representative budget quotation for a commercial scale installation.
If you want to test the technology with in-line product streams from your existing process longer pilot trials can be carried out at your plant location.
